JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Israeli sources claimed Sunday morning that Iran had launched over 330 missiles against Israeli targets, including 185 UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), 36 cruise missiles and 110 ballistic missiles.

Israeli warplanes as well as US, British and Jordanian warplanes were involved in the mission of intercepting the UAVs, which travel slowly but whose trajectory and direction cannot be determined by conventional ground defense systems. Those that reached Israel were intercepted by the Iron Dome system, which also succeeded in intercepting 99% of the other missiles being aimed at Israel.
A 7-year-old Bedouin girl was very seriously injured by shrapnel from a missile interception. She was treated by MDA medics and transferred unconscious to Soroka hospital, suffering from a head injuryץ
Additionally, the Nevatim Air Force Base was hit by a number of missiles but only light damage was caused and the IDF reported that the base continues to be operational.
Iran announced that from its point of view the incident [response to death of its senior general] was over unless Israel responded further. Israel in turn has vowed to retaliate for the attacks on its sovereign territory.
