Long Island NY (VINnews)-In a compelling interview, Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, Founder and President of the Shurat HaDin law center, revealed that her organization has video evidence implicating UNRWA employees in the October 7 Hamas-led massacre in Israel. The massacre, which led to the deaths of numerous civilians, has ignited a firestorm of legal action against entities allegedly connected to Hamas, including the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). Darshan-Leitner is currently suing UNRWA on behalf of the family of Yonatan Samerano, whose body is reportedly still held by Hamas in Gaza.

According to intelligence reports, Yonatan Samerano’s body was taken by a Hamas terrorist named Faisal Ali Mussalem al-Naami, who was employed by UNRWA in Gaza’s Nuseirat camp. Darshan-Leitner argues that UNRWA employees do not qualify for immunity under international law, as they were directly involved in terrorist activities, which is indefensible under the UN Treaty.
Shurat HaDin is awaiting a ruling from Israel’s Attorney General that would allow the law center to proceed with a lawsuit on behalf of all victims of the October 7 attack. Darshan-Leitner’s legal battle does not end with UNRWA. She is also pursuing legal action against the Red Cross for neglecting to demand access from Hamas to provide aid and medical attention to Israeli captives held in Gaza.
On October 8, the day after the massacre, Shurat HaDin demanded that the International Criminal Court (ICC) issue immediate arrest warrants for Hamas leaders. Darshan-Leitner noted that no further investigation was required, as Hamas proudly shared footage of the attacks across social media, with attackers recording videos in real-time.
In addition to her legal efforts, Shurat HaDin is suing Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) for aiding and abetting Hamas by spreading its propaganda and ideology across the U.S. Darshan-Leitner is a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump’s call to deport foreign students on visas who support Hamas and terrorism.
Darshan-Leitner expressed her frustration over the terms of the recent hostage “deal” between Israel and Hamas, which called for the release of over 1,000 convicted terrorists in exchange for Israeli hostages. She criticized the deal, saying that it should have demanded the unconditional release of all hostages and Hamas’s total surrender.
The Shurat HaDin founder also voiced concerns that Israel might need to re-enter Gaza to fully eradicate Hamas if the group fails to fulfill its obligations in future phases of the agreement. She blamed the Biden Administration for pressuring Israel to hold back but remained optimistic that a future Trump Administration would fully support Israel’s efforts to dismantle Hamas and recover the remaining hostages. According to Darshan-Leitner, if Hamas refuses to leave Gaza, a Trump-led White House would provide Israel with all the tools and weapons necessary to finish the job once and for all.
Nitsana Darshan-Leitner is the author of the best-selling book Harpoon, which details Shurat HaDin’s partnership with Israeli intelligence to wage financial warfare against Israel’s terrorist enemies. Her efforts have earned her recognition as one of the 50 most influential Jews in the world, according to The Jerusalem Post. During the interview, Darshan-Leitner revealed that Harpoon will soon be turned into a movie.
