Marc Klein opted for the one-time lump-sum payout rather than weekly lifetime installments. While the ticket guarantees at least $10 million, state withholdings reduced his take-home amount to $4,372,060.
Klein purchased the winning ticket at NO7 Grocery on 18th Avenue, a small corner store now enjoying a burst of local excitement.
According to the Lottery, three top prizes remain for the popular scratch-off. Players frequently check the remaining prize count through the Game Report available on the New York Lottery website.
Scratch-off sales in fiscal year 2024–2025 topped $4.3 billion, helping generate more than $1.4 billion in education aid for New York City school districts. The New York Lottery remains the most profitable lottery system in North America, contributing $3.6 billion statewide to public schools last year.
Officials also reminded New Yorkers that help is available for gambling addiction through NYProblemGamblingHelp.org or the confidential HOPEline at 1-877-8-HOPENY.

So New York state doesn’t have an anonymous winner allowance? The whole world needs to know who it was?
