JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Avi Marciano, the father of fallen IDF observer Noa Marciano, who was kidnapped from the shelter at the Nahal Oz outpost, appeared in a video posted to Instagram by pro-Israel activist Shai Deluca and, for the first time, recounted how his daughter was murdered in Hamas captivity.

In a recording sent to him, Noa described the airstrikes in the area and tried to convey her distress: “They’re bombing us,” she said in the video. She then pleaded for the strikes to stop: “Stop the bombing because you might hurt us.” Later, as IDF forces drew closer to the area, Hamas operatives attempted to move Noa deeper into Gaza City. Along the way, the vehicle she was in was struck, and Noa sustained injuries to her leg and head, though not life-threatening. She was taken to Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
According to her father, a medical worker at the hospital decided to murder her. “He injected air into her vein,” he said. Marciano learned of Noa’s death through another video sent to him, in which his daughter is seen pleading for her life. At the end of the footage, she appears sweating, but lifeless.

Afterwards, Hamas members attempted to smuggle Noa’s body out of the hospital, but IDF forces prevented them from doing so. Her body was eventually brought back to Israel for burial.
“What I went through is the worst nightmare I know,” Avi Marciano said in tears. “Noa was my firstborn. She was so loved, and there isn’t a moment in the day when I don’t miss her.”
