SYDNEY — A Jewish participant in the deadly Chanukah attack at Sydney’s Bondi Beach accused police of freezing during a prolonged shooting rampage, saying officers failed to intervene as gunmen fired uninterrupted for nearly 20 minutes.

Shmulik Scuri, who was attending the public Chanukah by the Sea celebration with his family, told reporters that police officers on the scene did not return fire as the attackers repeatedly shot into the crowd from an elevated bridge.

“For 20 minutes they shoot, shoot, change magazines, and just shoot,” Scuri said. “There were police officers there, and nobody fired back. Nothing. Like they froze. I don’t understand why.”

Scuri said the attackers appeared to target everyone in the area indiscriminately, including children and elderly attendees.

“Everyone — Jews, men, old people, kids,” he said. “It didn’t matter.”

I do not think it was smart that the Reporter ask his name and put it on the air… May Hashem watch over him & his family

Fire any police officer there who did nothing, if they are too afraid to act they should introduce be police officers.

Don’t call him a “participant.” He may have been participating in the event but the headline makes it sound like he participated in the terror attack

Wait, there was a Jewish participant in the attack? That sounds really strange.
