Teaneck, NJ – Rabbi. Celebrity confidant. Voters in New Jersey’s 9th Congressional District will have a chance to elect a representative with all those qualifications and more after Shmuley Boteach won the Republican primary Tuesday night.

Boteach is known for his role as “spiritual adviser” to the late superstar Michael Jackson.
He’s considered a longshot in the Democrat-heavy district, which was also the site of a heated primary between incumbent Reps. Bill Pascrell and Steve Rothman, who were pitted against each tother through redistricting. Boteach recently made headlines by publicly offering to moderate their dispute in the tough campaign via a web video.
Wow! Where have I been?! I didn’t even know he was running for political office! I’ve always found him to be a good-natured & funny spirit. He always has a cheerful countenance – always in a good mood. L-rd knows that’s surely lacking these days, amongst the general public. A decent amount of gladness, just in being a child of G-d. 🙂
I do not know what would be more appealing or more scary. Kosher Jesus leading the way or the creator of fraudlent ideas giving us a scam while in office.
I bet the headlines might be worth it though huh?
A real self promoter.
He is a very special person!!!
Very scary. What are they putting in the air in New Jersey?
busha vicherpa
Michael Jackson was Jewish?
YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!! There goes the neighbourhood.
Maybe the two candidates can get together and jointly write a book titled “Kosher Mohamed”.
Maybe he will talk about something other than the Libyans next to house.
Maybe he’ll be a better politician than he is a rabbi. Any orthodox “rav” who encourages us to learn more and to embrace the positive about Yoshka should have his smicha revoked..and his head examined.
