They are saying crime went down! I’m afraid they are lying!!
This shows that no neighborhood is immune to gun violence
Aren’t guns illegal in NYC? This is because of gun control. Criminals will get guns no matter what the law is.
You people are nuts. They are not lying. The fact that your friends were not the ones being killed in the Dinkins and Koch years does not mean that no one was dying. I know you all are in the Bais Medrash late at night. But if you were walking around Manhattan, you would see whole families of tourists walking around Times Square at midnight without a care in the world. Mayor Bloomberg and before him, Mayor Giuliani did an incredible job of making this city safe and comfortable for everyone. I know it is hard for you guys to look beyond the bike lanes, but if you are over 30 years old, you should have some memory of how rotten this city once was, and you should show some Hakoras Hatov.
On another note, how cool is the police bus?
The city is supposed to be prepared for terrorism but acts like this prove otherwise. Why isn’t the city taking a more proactive stand against terrorism in the subway system? There should be sniffing dogs or other security at every subway entrance. Buses also need more security measures.
Thank you to the NYPD for eliminating this gun toting behayma from our midst!
Not too long ago, it was legal to move from one subway car to another, as the doors would open between cars. If there is a psycho in one car, and there is a great distance between stations, passengers had the option of moving away from a bad area, into another car. Now, they are trapped in a specific car, which they cannot readily extract themselves from.
