Rubio, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and a potential Republican contender for president in 2016, will also visit Jordan during his tour of the Middle East.
In a press release, (http://1.usa.gov/WOua8W) Rubio said, “America’s friendship with Israel is a truly special one, and we must continue to do all we can to support this beacon of democracy, religious freedom and free enterprise in the heart of an unstable region.”
Rubio’s trip is seen by many as a way for Republicans to highlight their support for Israel in contrast with the often contentious relationship the Obama administration has had with Israel.
Mr. Obama last visited Israel in July 2008 when he was still a presidential candidate. The president is slated to visit Israel, the West Bank, and Jordan in March.

Cool move. Shows political smarts. To score even more points he should ask Obama to free Pollard during Obamas visit to Israel.
Rubio heard that Israel and the middle east had good water. Splash up Marco!!!
Yet another politician who believes his own publicity.
