New York – New York GOP senate candidate Joe DioGuardi puts out his first TV ad today in his contest with Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand. In the 30-second spot, DioGuardi introduces himself to voters as the son of an immigrant and a certified public accountant.

Most New Yorkers are unfamiliar with DioGuardi, a former congressman from Westchester, so a key challenge for his campaign will be raising his profile before Election Day, which is less than a month away. The ad quickly switches from biography to DioGuardi’s central argument: Government spending is out of control. “My number one priority will be to stop this runaway spending train,” he says in the ad. “When the government spends that way, it pushes out the private sector.”
go JO go. we’re sick and tired of the commi liberals.
I sure hope he wins. We are sick and tired of you liberals wrecking our country (hear that twisted one Charlie hall). We must stop obama now is the time. Vote Joe.
He has very good ideas – but based on the info on his website I wonder what his relationship with the jewish community and Israel is
#3 we should vote in america for people with issue we like ,not if he is good for Israel we live here pal.
This is all that DioGuardi’s campaign web site says about national security and foreign policy:
“The best weapon in response to an enemy willing to employ suicide and capable of using nuclear weapons is intelligence—enhanced through technology and human resources, not war. We must put a premium on the development of an intelligence operation, coordinated with our allies, to identify and root out terrorist organizations like al Qaeda. War should be used as a last resort. Iraq was a mistake, and our military should continue to bow out gracefully and allow Iraq to emerge under its own self rule. The war in Afghanistan is a war of choice that needs to be reconsidered in light of the immense foreign policy implications involving two of our allies, Pakistan and India.”
I have a problem with the statement that Afghanistan was a “war of choice”. The US was attacked on 9/11 by a group that was being harbored by Afghanistan’s government. Would he have said that World War II was a “war of choice” after Pearl Harbor? I had thought that DioGuardi wasn’t one of the nutty Republicans like Angle, Paul, and O’Donnell, but I may have been wrong.
He has my vote
To # 3–
Joe Dioguardi was and has always been a close friend and supporter of Jewish causes and is a staunch supporter of Israel.
He and former House Foreign Relations Committee Chair Ben Gilman worked closely together on many issues.
Dioguardi was the only CPA in Congress and was/is fiscally responsible.
He was/is always accessible to the Jewish Community especially to the Frum Community.
He is a real mench!
Let’s hope Joe Dioguardi wins together with the whole Republican/Conservative ticket besides Paladino.
