A Flash Flood Watch Warning was issued for Sullivan County, residence along the Mongaup and Delaware rivers should monitor local news organizations for updates on the situation of the Swinging Bridge Reservoir Dam, any rain may complicate the issue, but there is no imminent danger threat the dam continutes to be repaired.

Lumberland NY Sullivan County +Weakened Dam+ The Swinging Bridge Reservoir Dam is reported as compromised, due to last month’s floods, and it has the potential of breaking. Emergency Operations Center has been activated, surrounding buildings are being evacuated numerous officials and O.E.C. On the scene.
U/D The dam will be lowered by about 10′ so it could be evaluated by emergency workers. A portion of the service road fell into an 8′ sinkhole, and a small shed fell into the reservoir. Neighbors on alert.
