Manhattan NY +The Commanding officer for Transit Bureau 3 Was Shot+ In his office on the mezzanine level of W145th St. and Amsterdam Ave. X St. Nicholas Avenue stop yesterday. Captain William Roge 44 Y/O male is the high rank uniformed commanding officer and a 20-year NYPD veteran. He was changing his guns removing his .38 for a 9mm, and somehow, the .38 went off and that’s when he was accidentally shot in the abdomen, he was semi-conscious, had no blood pressure but had a pulse, he was transport to St. Lukes Hospital where he underwent surgery, He was in stable condition and expected to fully recover.
