The Sabre 4000s is enabling the NYPD to non-intrusively screen subway passengers for explosives. They have begun using the explosive trace detection system for the random, non-intrusive screening of passengers and passenger belongings going forward.
The explosives detector is ideal for screening passengers effectively in any setting as a versatile light-weight, handheld detection system capable of accurately detecting and identifying explosives, chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals. The NYPD purchase and deployment will utilize the unit’s explosives capabilities.
