Its first customer will be the Teutel family, owners of the Orange County Choppers business. Silver State has a two-year contract to provide executive transportation aboard a Dell L-4 Long Ranger six-passenger helicopter that will be stationed at Stewart, company President Jerry Airola said.
By next weekend, Silver State will also position other helicopters at Stewart for training purposes.
Airola's company has 250 helicopters operating in facilities in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, Oregon, Nevada, Texas, Utah and the Washington State. Within a year to 18 months, he would expect to build their own hangar at Stewart.
Landing Silver State Helicopter at Stewart is "a big time for us," said Airport President Charles Seliga. [MidHudsonNews]
