Poland – Thieves have stolen an aluminum structure from the 19th century tomb in eastern Poland of a prominent Hasidic rabbi.

Police spokeswoman Magdalena Jedrejek said police were focusing their search for the structure on scrap metal dumps.
The 8-foot long structure, was used for placing prayer cards at the tomb in Lublin of Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Horowitz, known as the Chozeh MiLublin. The tomb was otherwise undamaged.
The Chozeh, died in Lublin in 1815. His tomb draws regular visits from Hasidic Jews from around the world. [AP]
