Krasnoyarsk, Russia – The keeper of the Jewish cemetery in Krasnoyarsk reported today to the Sovetsky District Interior Department that vandals have smashed the cemetery and that tombstones had been damaged at the cemetery, which is located near the Krasnoyarsk Medical Academy.

Investigators and heads of the District Interior Department, had been sent to the accident site immediately. It was established that the vandals had overturned 67 tombstones at night and as a result, 15 tombstones were damaged.
A service dog took up the trace and led the police to a hostel near the Jewish cemetery. Police are interrogating citizens of all the hostel rooms, searching for the witnesses of the crime.
A criminal case was initiated over hooliganism. The criminals face up to two years' imprisonment.
