6-Story Building Collapses In Chelsea
No Word Of Injuries
NEW YORK (AP) ― Fire officials say a part of a six-story building in Manhattan has collapsed, but the structure was vacant.
No injuries have been reported. Fire officials say the residential building caved around 8 p.m.; the front facade is still standing, but the rear of the building is in rubble. Nearby streets have been blocked off as crews worked to clean up the area.
Firefighters are on the scene in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan and are investigating the cause of the collapse.
