The folds are said to pay tribute to to glorify “the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” in the eyes of Jewish Americans.
Phil Budahn, a spokesman for the VA in Washington, said the agency received an objection to the script’s religious references after it was used during a funeral at Riverside National Cemetery in California. [ap]
to see the folding of flag
It is my understanding that the narrative portion of the flag folding ceremony was by request only.
So, if the family requested it, who is the person that complained about it?
BTW, why is it insulting to hear how the “Hewbrew citizen” (or the “Christian cizizen from the next fold) feels about something???
Yes, and the stars remind us of His promise to them that their children will be as many as the stars.
I like that!
the objection [to reciting the Jewish verse for Jewish-American Veterans] was [probably] filed by some of those “civil liberties” orgs. who [mistakenly] think that they will not stand in line with the rest of us. (if Heaven-Forbid their ilk get to govern)
