Amityville police say they stopped the 33-year-old man early Saturday after they spotted him trying to ride a bicycle while carrying several items, including a car GPS unit.

Police say the cyclist gave evasive answers to questions, and when the officer pressed the home button on the GPS, the unit displayed a nearby address. The resident of that home told police the device was his.
Police arrested the bicyclist on charges that included larceny. [AP]

What a dummy! This reminds me of a story when I was chasing a perp with my partner in a back yard which was very dark. We were not able to find the perp and we called off the search but then we saw sneakers lighting up!

The dummy was caught and sat in jail for 5 years!

Shilmazel of a thief. Not a “Professional” thief. (Like the commercials extolling home alarms. “Every Professional thief” knows, not to approach a home secured by the alarm Co.)
