Sergey Vishnev and Maxin Ilim of Brooklyn gave a business man an ultimatum: buy their inoperable fire extinguishers for $1,400 – or they would report the establishment to the Fire Marshal and shut it down.

The suspects didn't have authority to inspect and shut down the building or to sell the equipment.

They face multiple felony charges and seven years behind bars. [NY1]
