New Jersey would become the third state to offer paid family leave.

Businesses fear the law would harm companies in a weak economy.
The program would be funded through a payroll deduction that legislative officials estimate would cost workers $33 per year. Workers who take leave would get two-thirds of their salary, up to $524 per week. [AP]

Its amazing that Corzine is kvetching for a while now that the NJ econemy is in trouble. Every year he has a fight to cut property taxes etc. but not knowing from where to take the money. Suddenly he agrees to give people more excuses not to work. It sounds like France already.
