They spent their first Shabbat in the capital city this past weekend and plan on distributing Passover provisions to some 250 people in the community.
South Korea currently is without a synagogue; in past years, local Jews gathered at a U.S. army base to celebrate Shabbat and holidays. But beefed-up security left some unable to participate in the services, and the pending base’s closure made the Litzman’s arrival all the more urgent.
I went to Korea a few months ago. I contacted Chabad and they said that it was in the planning stages.
I’m very glad that they opened a chabad house and I wish them much Hatzlacha.
It’s a great benefit not only to do jews living there, but also to the many who travel there and to other parts of Asia with long stopovers in the airport.

amazing totally amazing gosh I’d be a basket case in such a country why just the thought of it so far from familiarity and things we are so used too.
Whoever you are hatzlocho rabah indeed!
Will they serve kosher kimchi?
you cant find many people who just pick up with nothing and move to a foreign country too far from home, no schools for the kids, no kosher food, with no salary to look forward to, only years of struggling financially to look forward to………
but they do it with a smile, cause they are the Rebbe’s Soldiers and for the most part, they do an excellent job
Hatzlucha Rabbah.
