An 8-month-old boy with measles was at the Fortunoff Source Mall in Westbury, as well as in several stores in Cedarhurst, on Thursday between 1 p.m. and midnight.
People who may have been in those areas, and who are deemed at high risk, are eligible for measles shots through the Health Department.

Officials also say that the boy was on Continental Flight 85 from Tel Aviv to Newark on April 2. Anyone on that flight may have been exposed.

Measles can result in severe complications, including encephalitis, pneumonia, and death. [AP]

Before the whole debate and mudslinging gets started, the vaccine is given at 12 months, so the baby could not have been immunized against measles at its current age of 8 months.

Also, the parents had no idea their kid had measles until after the exposure took place.
