Monroe, NY – Some 50 commuters who live in Orange County and take mass transportation into New York City, met last night with officials of Coach USA bus company, the state Transportation Department and Orange County officials to discuss conditions of their daily ride.

Orange County Legislator Gregory Townsend called the meeting.
He said there are a number of concerns facing the daily commuters. On-time service, cleanliness, costs involved with the riders, and safety issues.
Orange County Executive Edward Diana, who attended the meeting, said improvements to county parking lots should help as will Coach USA's relocation of its bus garage from Mahwah, NJ to Chester in the future. [midhudsonnews]
