Highlighting the goods deeds in the community.
New York – A new campaign of Project YES, which is called “Take a Child to Shul Please . . .” has started.
Subscribe to our Daily Roundup Email
The campaign urges the entire Frum community who may not be aware of the painful reality that some of our children are not attending Shul on Shabbos and Yom Tov due to their reluctance to attend and sit in Shul alone. (these are the son’s of single parents who don’t have a father to take them to Shul, or the daughters who don’t have a mother to sit next to in Shul).
people who tell children to be quiet should leave the shul.
Thank you Rabbi Horowitz!
As a child of devorced parents, I know how hard it is for boys to have to go to shul alone.
I want to point out to everyone that not only the person who takes the child to shul, but also each and everyone of us can participate in making the shul experience for the child a little better, by showing interest, saying a simple Gut Yom Tov or worst just not ignoring the child.
