Frantisek Banyai, head of the Prague Jewish community, said that the number of standard anti-Semitic manifestations, such as attacks on persons and property as well as articles on the Internet, has not increased since last year.
Sunday’s meeting in which politicians, Holocaust survivors and musicians will participate is to counterbalance the events of right-wing extremists.
It will be held in connection with the Shoah Day commemorating six million Jews murdered during World War Two.
The meeting will be preceded by a “Good Will March” starting on Kafka Square in Prague centre at 14:00 on Sunday. [ČTK]
