Officer Martin Finkelstein became the subject of an internal affairs investigation after a coworker, Officer Kyle Cimiotti, wrote to police Chief Carlo Angelillo that Finkelstein used racial epithets in jokes about Italians, the Holocaust and black people. Finkelstein, denied making the jokes.
Finkelstein's attorney, Lawrence Fagan of the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association, said the still-ongoing internal investigation had nothing to do Finkelstein's decision to retire.
"He's just at that age," said Fagan, who added his client "doesn't want the appearance of running from anything." [palmbeach post]
certainly not from the jewish point of view
The article sounds like its ethnic humor or racial humor; the term racist humor seems too strong and inaccurate.
There is such a thing as a Holocaust joke?
