Worse still, this result underlined the fear that senior Democrats have long been aware of, but have never dared to express in public: America may not yet be ready to elect a black President. Worst of all, it has created conditions for the possible election victory of a militarily belligerent and economically unqualified Republican candidate who supports many of President Bush’s worst policies. Given the Bush Administration’s domestic and foreign failures, the disasters in Iraq and Afghanistan and, most recently, the slump in the economy, the possibility of a Republican victory in November would seem to overturn every principle of proper democracy – and also the hope of America and its system of government being rehabilitated in the eyes of the world after the Bush years. The fact that Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton are both such impressive candidates, intelligent, sincere, articulate and in command of the issues, while John McCain does not qualify on any of these criteria only makes matters worse.

The left political slant of the UK Times is blatantly obvious. I don’t care what their preferences are any more than our rag, The New York Times. By simply stating there won’t be a change from the 8 Bush years they feel it’s a given that that’s a bad thing. The left media is constantly trying to knock President George Bush. They are threatened by his straight forward attitude and his steadfastness. In my opinion he is one of the greater presidents our country was ever blessed with. So yes I will take 8 more years.

Other than the fact that she voted to give President Bush the authority to go to war in Iraq — a political calculation on her part that seemed like a good idea at the time — there is not a dime’s worth of difference between Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama.

Both have lifetime ratings above 90 from the liberal ADA and below 10 from the conservative ACU — and both would raise taxes, expand the federal bureaucracy, and use the power of the government to supress free speech (reinstating the so-called “Fairness Doctrine” to muzzle conservative radio hosts they don’t like).

And both would signal to our overseas enemies that all they have to do is sit tight, be patient and wait and we will withdraw from Iraq and hand them the victory they seek on a silver platter — just as the Congressional Democrats paved the way for the Communist victory in Vietnam by cutting off all aid to the South Vietnamese government. Two years after the last US troops withdrew, the choppers were taking off from the roof of the Saigon embassy ahead of the arrival of the victorious Communists. Thousands of people were executed, and thousands more were punished in so-called “re-education camps” [i.e., concentration camps]. This is the Democrats’ legacy from the 70s — and history will repeat itself if either of these fools is elected.

McCain was not my first choice as GOP candidate — but this decorated war hero stands head and shoulders over both of these bozos, either of whom would be a fitting representative of the Jackass Party.

And who gives a damn at what some dopey Europeans think? Their birth rates have dropped below the minimum replacement level and they are losing control of their own continent to the influx of aggressive and increasingly violent Muslims; even without that problem, Europe is strangling itself with high, almost confiscatory taxes and misguided social programs (such as government-provided healthcare that libs like Hillary and Obama are so envious of — Britons who need any kind of advanced care come HERE to get it because they sure as hell won’t get it there under their government rationing system).

No wonder there is a brain drain of affluent, educated Brits and other Europeans deserting their ancient homelands to come HERE. Hopefully, this will continue under President McCain.

Bloomberg hired consultants to see if he would stand a chance in the `08 elections and he was advised not to run. Even his own people didn’t think he could win.
People are in denial if they don’t think Obama stands a chance. They said he wouldn’t stand a chance against Hillary and now who has more votes? Who raised more than double the amount of (record setting) money than any other canidate? Who does most polls say will be our president? Yes you guessed it, A BLACK MAN.

People are not ready to accept that majority of united States is willing to vote for a black president.

A sad truth – that nobody dare admit: America is not ready for a black white house. America has become so PC, we’re literally afraid of our own shadow. It take British courage to state the fact. The world is not meant to be PC, liberal. It’s the way Hashem set it up.

If the choice was down to obama and mccain, bloomberg would be a welcome third candidate. Bloomberg is brilliant man who has national appeal and presence because of the cuases he has succesfully taken nationwide. other cities have copied his plans and he has built coalitions of mayors and governors with crime prevention and illegal gun laws, with environmental issues and with bipartispan cooperation.

Buffet is not a politican and milken is a sleazy criminal.

Bloomberg: is only liked in the NY area, he wouldn’t stand a chance just like guillani didn’t.

Warren Buffet: If you think Obama is sooo liberal, Buffet is just as liberal if not even more so and besides he is sooo old and an atheist (against religion).

Milken: is a convicted criminal, everyone would have a field day attacking him.

    Any other genius ideas?

If Obama loses it will be because he is SOOOOOO liberal and American is not and has never been voting for such a liberal candidate. The Dems threw Joe Lieberman to the dogs and now they complain about Obama. Out of 300 million people this is the best we can get. Give me Bloomberg give me Warren Buffet give me Michael Miliken those are people who can run this country

It’s not so much that he’s black , but he’s a leftie. His politics is out of synch with mainstream America. Look who’s supporting him. The loonie radical left.
A conservative black candidate would have a better chance.

By the way , how come he doesn’t place his hand over his heart during the national anthem ? How come nobody asks him that ?
