That was Rosh Hashanah. This is Yom Kippur.

On the Day of Atonement, we’ll simply apologize to our newly re-coronated King—but before that, we’ll hopefully have made amends to each other.

That was bein adam lachaveiro. This is bein adam lamakom.

And so, as we hurtle towards our second royal audience, we at VIN wish to make honest and humble amends to you, our loyal audience.

HaKadosh Boruch Hu in His Infinite love for His creations provided us all with a tremendous opportunity for Teshuva on this day of Yom Kippur.

VIN News would like to take advantage of this time as well by asking mechila-forgiveness from all of our distinguished readers, writers, bloggers, and subjects of our stories. We call upon all out there in the blogosphere to forgive each other. Ours is a difficult task to bring appropriate news and opinions so that the Torah world can be informed and so that discourse about issues be encouraged. In the course of this mission, we may have caused people agmas nefesf and for that we extend our sincere apology.

Hashem’s love for all of us is truly infinite. Yom Kippur itself is a remarkable gift from Above. Let us all take advantage of this and enter this most holiest of days with the additional z’chus of forgiving each other and emulating Hashem by emulating Hashem’s love for all His children!

A gmar chasima Tova, a git gebentsched Yar, and we ask of you all mechila belaiv shulem, and to be moichel each other belaiv shulem mamash.. and ‘L’shanah haba’a b’Yerushalayim’ “Next Year in Jerusalem.” Amain! Easy fast to all!

Note: Due to the Yom Kippur holiday, VIN News will be offline starting today from sunset until Monday Sep. 28-09, 9:00 PM

Alternate side parking street cleaning regulations in the five boroughs of New York City will be suspended tomorrow for Yom Kippur. All other regulations, including parking meter rules, remain in effect.

I think it would be a good idea of shuls to let a volunteer from organizations like chai lifeline or mekimi or people working with girls/boys off the derech or the tomchie shabbos drivers ,to say a few words before kol nidrei(before or after the rabbi)I promise even a heart of stone will open up , and know what to daven for.

Gmar tov to all at VIN. From many of us, thank you for all you do. My only wish is for a more vigorous enforcement of the editorial rules. They have done much over the past few months to tone down the personal attacks. We can disagree respectfully without resorting to calling everyone an “am’horetz” or “apikores”. An easy fast and health year to all of klal yisroel and also may hashem provide achdus and remove sinas chinam from amomg us.
