Brooklyn, NY – Borough Park Resident Receives a Visit From the Mayor

Mendel and Esther Jaroslawicz recived a surprise knock on their door from Mayor BloombergBrooklyn, NY – Last night Mayor Bloomberg knocked on the 1,000,018th door of the campaign, part of a continuing effort to engage New Yorkers in a dialogue about the future of their City. The number 18 has a spiritual significance in Jewish culture because of its connection to the root word “chai,” which signifies life and living. “Chai” is often used and mentioned during exciting times in Jewish culture, and in fact the numeric value of the Hebrew spelling of the word is equal to 18.

Mike made the knock in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn at the home of Mendel and Esther Jaroslawicz on 41st Street in Boro Park. On their doorstep, the Mayor talked about the progress the Bloomberg Administration has made on the economy, crime reduction, education, and he asked for their support on Election Day.

To date, the campaign has made hundreds of thousand of phone calls and has thousands of volunteers in all five boroughs helping to spread the word about Mike’s record of progress and his plans for the next four years.

“Block by block, neighborhood by neighborhood, we’re out there talking to New Yorkers about the best way to move our City forward,” said Mayor Bloomberg. “The people we talk to on the streets and in the subways typically talk about the two things that matter most to them – good schools and safe streets – and in the last 8 years, we’ve made tremendous strides in improving both, but we’re not done yet. We can’t go back to the bad old days, and if I’m lucky enough to be re-elected, I’ll work even harder to keep our record of progress going.”

let him spend his money to get re elected – and he prob will….however for those that really understand what he is about …he does not help the working middle class…the average working frum person is getting killed by his leberal tax and spend po;licies….sure he gives a pitance to pacify the frum yeshivos…but the billions he rakes in from increased in real estate taxes and income taxes are going to his liberal policies in the public schools…STAY AWAY FROM HIM

Thompson has a history of poor performance as a public servant and a poor strategist–just look at the Board of Ed under him. Bloomberg may not be the best, but as a business man he knows how to steer the city through financial difficulties. Thompson as any Democrat or urban politician wants to expand welfare services but at what expense?

“good schools and safe streets” Nothing changed in that regard in the last eight years.

The people I tal to are concerned about the constant harassment by dept of traffic and all the fee hikes, that most people do not even realize that Bloomberg is responsible for e.g. Electric Bill, Water Bill, Utility Taxes etc. Yest all those things were doubled in the last 6 years as a result of the current mayor and his companians.

Vote Thompson, you can only do better, he knows that if he wants to keep his job he needs to behave. Bloomberg has too much money to care.

What kind of values does he have?

we need to support thompson only for the sake that bloomberg should’d win with a large margin so he will see that the heimishe community is against him, and he will bow on the voucher program’s that he is against, i don’t know the stand of thmpson on this issue but bloomberg is for sure against it and our mosdod need it urgently
