During the meeting, Bill spoke about how as Mayor he will fight to address the needs of New York City’s middle class families. From jobs and the economy, to education, private school yeshivas and small businesses, Bill will shift the priority back to the needs of New York’s hardworking men and women over those of developers and the wealthy.
“For far too long, New Yorkers in every borough have had to cope with the failed Bloomberg policies of the last eight years. Our Jewish communities, in particular, have had to endure cuts to Priority 7 vouchers and incredible strains brought on by this administration’s bad decisions. Mike Bloomberg has shown a tin ear to the needs and concerns of Jewish New Yorkers. As Mayor, I will fight to ensure that your needs aren’t lost in a vacuum of empty promises. Working together, we will take back our City for ALL New Yorkers.”
Bill met with Grand Rabbi of Munkatch Rabbi Moshe Leib Rabinovich and other Jewish community leaders. The rabbi blessed Bill and wished him success with his candidacy.
Afterward, Bill greeted students at a concert hosted by the Alternative Learning Institute for Young Adults (ALIYAH), and event-goers at Simchas Bais Hashoeva on Kingston Avenue where he wished the crowd a happy and healthy New Year, vowing to return next year as New York City Mayor.
