According to the Journal News Rockland prosecutor James Mellion told acting Supreme Court Justice Catherine Bartlett that the charges against former office Andrew Dale and Monsey resident Zalman Silber were being dropped “in the interest of justice.”
Dale immediately hugged his defense attorney David Goldstein. Dale’s wife, who was also in the courtroom, began to cry.
Silber was not in court at the time.
Mellion said the credibility of the prosecution’s chief witness, Sarah Silber, had been damaged by DVDs showing her giving unlicensed massages to clients in Monsey and the Bronx.
Dale was fired as a result of Silber’s accusation.
Editors note: VIN News posted fully all names, as our policy is to inform when charges are dropped against anyone accused to vindicate his name.
B”h the truth prevailed
ok, and now we’ll hear 100 comments about how the frum community gets away with everything bla bla bla…
Bh. Officer Dale as well has always been a great friend to the frum community, hopefully he can now be reinstated.
What an utterly confusing story!
Charges dropped does not mean there is ZERO truth to the allegations.
I remember from day one where several people who calimed to know the facts ,stated that this was a nasty divorce type of fight where the wife was falsely accusing the husband to try to get him in trouble. Now it seems that this is really the case. I wonder how they got those videos of her doing those things. Now maybe people will have a little more skepticism when somebody is accused including by troubled wives or boys. Not every accusation is true.
B”h the truth won.
All Loshen Hora belivers, take a lesson
Dale’s wife was in the courtroom standing by her husband. She cried when the chargse were dropped. If it’s good enough for her it should be good enough for everyone else.
mr. silber i could not have been happier for you. im a long time supporter. and may hkb”h pay you back for all u have done for klal yisroel.
Some of you wanted to kill me for writing when this story broke on VIN, that this whole story was just a set up by Silver’s ex wife, I kept on saying that the truth will prevail but you didn’t wanna listen. Baruch Hashem! Kushta Koiee!
The problem with this case is that the witness seems to be a malicious, vindictive & disturbed individual. However, there is a more troubling possibility: that GENUINE victims from the Frum community won’t be believed.
B”H the truth prevailed. May Zalman get his reputation back.
Just to clarify. The charges against the Police were dropped in full. The charges against the for molesting two women in his Park Avenue “doctors” office are still pending.
B”H -I met Mr. Silber and his wife recently and found them to be absolutely wonderful people. It is unbelievable to what lengths people will go to ruin a persons good name. Remember: innocent until proven guilty………… hopefully the other charges will go away as well…… He is an absolute gentleman that treats his wife with utter respect. Very fine people………….
the truth is nothing to be proud of in this case. read the paper.
Were the other “victims” who were examined also not credible. If not what were their motive to lie?
the story made no sence from the begining had the smell of a setup and when something smells like a setup looks like a setup and tastes like a set upo then it is a setup
