Butner, NC – Bernard Madoff has left his North Carolina prison’s hospital unit and returned to his cell.

The 71-year-old disgraced financier had been transferred to a prison hospital on Dec. 18. Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman Denise Simmons said Wednesday he was transferred back to the medium security section of the complex Monday. She declined to discuss Madoff’s health.
Madoff’s lawyer has said that Madoff had dizziness and high blood pressure. Prisons officials have said he was not assaulted.
Madoff is serving a 150-year sentence after pleading guilty to fraud and admitting to cheating thousands of investors out of billions of dollars.

It is shocking how people react to their own faults. Chilul Hasehm? Don’t we all do so from time to time? The fact is that the people who invested with Madoff should be placed into jail. They were a greedy bunch of modern jews who at every occassion blasted observant Jews to live an honest life. They were greedy and knew that Madoff was getting it the wrong way. Did any of them stop to think that it was wrong? They were the wgaon pushing the horse (Madoff) down the mountai and he wasn’t able to stop. Why isn’t the Jewish Week blaming all the investors for their Greed and hunger for money and more money?! The people who invested with Madoff are the ones that comitted the Chilul Hashem, not this poor fellow, who could have run off with the money, if he was really bad, what did he do? He turned himself in.
