Jerusalem – The Woman in the Way of a Palestinian Shalit Prisoner Deal

    13

Amneh Muna, shown in Israels Sharon Prison on Sept. 22, 2004, used the Internet to lure Ofir Rahum to his death in the West Bank city of Ramallah [Photo: David Blumenfeld]Jerusalem – Amneh Muna is high on the Hamas list of Palestinian prisoners to be exchanged for the soldier Gilad Shalit. Serving a life sentence, she has become a symbol of Palestinian women prisoners, a hard-line agitator for Palestinian prisoners’ rights and a constant thorn in the side of her Israeli incarcerators. But the crime for which she has been convicted is so heinous in the eyes of Israelis that few see any justice in letting her go, even for the freedom of one of their own soldiers.

Nine years ago, Muna seduced a 16-year-old Israeli boy over the Internet, luring him into a liaison that resulted in his death. At the time, Muna was a 24-year-old Palestinian journalist from the West Bank city of Ramallah when she began trawling Internet chat rooms at about the time of the second intifadeh. She soon found Ofir Rahum, a schoolboy from the Israeli city of Ashkelon. She said her name was Sali, a newly immigrated Moroccan Jew, and soon initiated a cyber-relationship.

She didn’t even kill him, meanwhile Shalit is dying a thousand deaths every minute of his 3year captivity. It surpasses every logic.

Any negotiations for any prisoner swap are absolute danger & lunacy. As painful as it is to think about it.

To #4 , granted she wasn’t the one who pulled the trigger. But I think you’d be singing a different tune if G-d forbid something like that happened to your family member! She is just as guilty as an accomplice as the guy that actually pulled the trigger and murdered this poor yiddishe neshama!
As someone who has lost friends and has friends that have lost family due to the arab murderers, I hate that Israel is being coerced into letting free murderers in order to rescue Gilad Shalit. I also feel for Gilad Shalit’s family.
I still remember and am still haunted by the capture and subsequent murder of Nachshon Wachsman z”l.

give her AIDS and then maybe release her
