Jerusalem – Oiz v’Hadar Talmud Yerushalmi Released in Bnei Brak [Live Event]

    8

Jerusalem – When the Oiz v’Hadar edition of the Talmud Bavli was completed several years ago, Rav Aharon Leib Steinman expressed his wish that “with Hashem’s help, there will be a Talmud Yerushalmi version of the Oiz v’Hadar Shas.” Several years later, Rav Steinman’s request has become a reality with the inaugural volumes of the Oiz v’Hadar Talmud Yerushalmi being presented today at the Keser Harimon Hall in Bnei Brak.

The original Talmud Bavli version of the Oiz v’Hadar Shas, produced under the leadership of R’ Yehoshua Leifer, was widely acclaimed for its attention to detail, accuracy, easy to understand notes and commentaries and easily readable typeface and layout. With the increasing interest in the Talmud Yerushalmi producing an Oiz v’Hadar edition will make the Talmud Yerushalmi more accessible than ever.

R’ Leifer received haskamos and brachos for his latest project from the leading Rabbonim of our generation, all of whom expressed their hope that this new Shas will enable countless bnei Torah to better understand the intricacies of the Talmud Yerushalmi.

I can gaurantee without seeing the new edition that the overwhelming majority of the commentaries placed in the book, will be from Ashkenazic Rabbis. All part of the Modern view of the Ashkenazic Leadership, to make believe the Sepharadim didn’t exist unless they are forced to.
Take a look at the Bavli edition of theirs to see what I mean.

I love oz vehadar bavli version
Only complain is that the side notes from the standard shas, were moved to footnotes. Other than that it is a great edition.
