Police say two people were injured in Wednesday’s crash.
They say the driver lost control of his 2006 Volkswagen Jetta as he came off the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge and struck a store front.
Fire officials say the 39-year-old driver suffered a partially severed arm and was taken to Bellevue Hospital. The front seat passenger, a 40-year-old woman, suffered head trauma and also was hospitalized.
The accident occurred at 4 a.m. Wednesday.
On March 28, a car exiting the bridge crashed into the same row of stores. A 68-year-old taxi driver standing on the sidewalk was killed.
