Atlanta, GA – U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor says President Barack Obama’s support of a return to Israel’s 1967 borders to make way for an adjacent Palestinian state is “unworkable.”

Cantor, who is Jewish, says he is “very concerned” that “any discussion or talks between the parties has to start with the 1967 lines.” He says the U.S. should “stand up for our ally in the war to stop the spread of radical Islam.”
Cantor on Friday addressed The Atlanta Press Club as part of a two-day visit to Georgia, where he campaigned for GOP colleagues and visited businesses like Home Depot. Regarding the so-called “Arab Spring” movement in the Middle East, Cantor says the U.S. “should be about protecting and enhancing the institutions that do promote the values we stand for.”
Eric Cantor says it as it should be said.
The Palistinians are anti-American why should we support a country that will create more terror attacks against the US. We need a leader for president not a whimp who bows to terrorists. Obama must do what is right. He doesn’t have the guts to take a stand. He is no leader and he should do the country a favor and resign.
Bush and Olmert offered almost all of the West Bank and non Jewish sections of East Jerusalem. This is recorded by George Bush in his memoirs and by Olmert in writing and interviews. And in the Wikileaks “Palestine papers” the same is reported with the exact numbers: Olmert and Bush offered 93.5% of the West Bank with a 5.8% SWAP of the state of Israel in return. This is 99.3% of land mass to the 67 borders.
Obama has not gone beyond that in the speech:
[Obama] “Now, ultimately, it is up to the Israelis and Palestinians to take action. No peace can be imposed upon them — not by the United States; not by anybody else….So while the core issues of the conflict must be negotiated, the basis of those negotiations is clear: a viable Palestine, a secure Israel. The United States believes that negotiations should result in two states, with permanent Palestinian borders with Israel, Jordan, and Egypt, and permanent Israeli borders with Palestine. We believe the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states. “
