from reading another article it seems like her parents hired a private detective but when no leads were found they decided to appeal to the public!

It’s almost 50 days since she has been seen. If she is a runaway, she must be staying at someone’s home. Some parent may be reading this and realize her parents want her home.

Hashem yerachem. Coney island is relatively safe during the day but either way a girl should not go there by herself. I fear there is some missing info in this story.

My post was posted twice by mistake. G-D forbid!! Why would I pounce on such a sensitive situation? It is a honest question, we need to know what to look for, a girl resisting, it a girl who wants “”out

In reply to #22 , who are you to judge how frum this girl is, and who said she was found on the beach, and if you would be somewhat educated or actually read an article on this girl, she was seen on coney island and 18th ave, not the beach! We don’t get to judge who is frum enough to help, wise-guy, I do hope in your life you never need the help of the klall, because chas v’shalom they should judge you! They are turning to the public to help, say your tehilim, DON’T JUDGE! I am a mother of frum children but b”h I can say not one of them had something as narrow minded to say as you! It’s Elul all you can say in a bikini no less on the beach…shame on you, try saying some tehilim, or look at yourself, try to help a situation, and if you are incapable, then Just be quiet, the world doesn’t need to read the thoughtless things you have to write! Hashem should help you, but mostly Hashem should have rachmanus and bring Caroline home safely to her parets, amen!

I am DISGUSTED by some of the people’s comments here. “I hope she won’t turn about to be…you know” or “Hope this wont be another Kletzky’s case” or “like she got in over her head.” SICK, you guys are SICK! It’s because heartless comments from people like you are the reasons why SO MANY ARE OFF THE DERECH TODAY! Just look around you.

WHO CARES HOW SHE DRESS, WHERE SHE GOES, WHAT SHE DOES, ETC. SHE IS OUR SISTER ,GET IT?!

Gd knows what happened to her: kidnapping, trafficking, I do not want to fathom the possibilities.

And you know what? Let’s say if she is going through a difficult period in her life that made her decide to run away, she is curious what the Jewish community is saying about her, and stumbles on the comments to this article and other articles…

‘It is probably worth leaving every minute the Torah community and running away’ might be her reaction.

I think one of the reasons why her parents did not publicize this earlier was because of fear and trepidation from Yidden not Dan Le Kaf Zchut and labeliong their daughter. Well, they got part of their answers!

It is the month of Elul when we are supposed to judge ourselves and who we are so we can do Tshuvah. It is not a time to judge others.
Maybe the parents took a lesson to what happened to Leibe Kletsky. The awful person who kidnapped him panicked when he realized just how much the community was in a frenzy to find the kidnapper. Maybe they listened to experts and did what they thought was in their daughter’s best interest.
Only Hashem knows the right way, and we must not judge, but pray and say Tehillim.
I have three daughters and each one is a gem. I pray to Hashem that He returns her and I also pray never to be in their shoes.
Let’s just stay united and show Hashem that we want the best for all Jews.

    To Wiseguy,

Perhaps you should take a serving of humble pie and realize that detectives and the authorities are a lot smarter than you are. What happened, nebuch, with the tragedy last summer? Unfortunately, when the velt “took to the streets” and mobilized, the kidnapper was panicked and it ended in the worst way, Hashem yerachem.

The authorities and family are doing exactly what they should be doing, which is resisting stupidity and ideas from those that are not qualified and taking this investigation the way they think will bring back their child alive and well.

Instead of making unhelpful comments and accusatory remarks, take upon yourself a mitzvah that you would do for the zechus of her returning safely.

    respectfully to all,

    David

Just to inform the uninformed, there have been several initiatives on Caroline’s behalf by her MO, dedicated, and generous community. Tehillim groups and challah baking and other actions have been put in place. These situations tend to bring out the best in us as a community at large. Let’s keep that up as we daven for Chana Eliana bas Chava Raizel.

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

If you go to the “Missing” Facebook page, you see people from all over the country, Ye even the gentiles,as far away as Iowa are passing the word around about this missing girl. They are not gossiping, adding commentary, questioning her morals or arguing. They just see a missing young girl and are feeling the pain of the parents.

Now, Caroline is one of our own. don’t you think we can behave better? lets do what we can to pass the world around and find Caroline. and for those that can, let us contribute to the reward fund that has been established,

    Thanks

    Sheesh!
All I said was that it’s not “Frum” per-se to dress in a bikini.
Sorry, but I felt it had to be said. I also felt that by ignoring this detail and sweeping it under the rug, would not be any merit (Zchus) for the missing teen. Quite the contrary.

I’m sorry people were offended. But all those that drew conclusions of me being callous or judgmental have simply reached the wrong conclusion. Period.

And just to be clear: I never implied that being “Frum” is a prerequisite for being prayed for.
So let’s stop this silly inane bickering and get down to prayers and Tachliss!

    Goot Vuch.

    I repeat:
I’m not being judgmental or callous. I just pointed out the obvious. It had to be mentioned.
Would anybody have conniptions if I stated that wearing Shatnez is not Frum?
I’m judging an act. Not a person.

I have a funny feeling that all those attacking me with “righteous indignation”, for stating the obvious, are probably a tad “Shvach” on wearing “short sleeves” themselves…

In any case, I’m getting tired of defending myself for claiming “water is wet”.
It’s like talking to a wall.

May Hashem return Chana Eliana bas Chava Raizel to her family safe and sound right-away.
It’s really scary. I was hoping to hear some good news about her by now.

    To wise guy,

I echo number 51 and add that chazal instituted the halachos of lashon hara and ona’as devarim specifically to combat people like you, those that fall prey to the satan, who feel like everything “has to be said” no matter how hurtful it is. Go learn some halachos of ona’as devarim and lashon hara.

Our friends’ daughter just started at Touro and she did not mention anything about this. She has been in constant contact with her folks and not a word. There is something terrible going on here, no doubt. I only hope that this young woman comes back home safe and sound to her family and community. I would say the same about any young woman, Jewish or not.
