New York, NY – Thanks to his super PAC, the ghost of Mayor Bloomberg may yet linger even after he leaves office.

The Daily News reports (http://nydn.us/XhtPL4) that only days after Bloomberg gave a $10 million infusion to his super PAC to sway the outcome of elections nationwide in November, the Mayor is not ruling out the possibility that he may do so again in the 2013 mayoral race.

Such a move could greatly impact the race in favor of City Council Speaker Christine Quinn – widely considered to be Bloomberg’s favored candidate – or even increase the possibility of a Ray Kelly candidacy.

But Bloomberg remained non-committal saying, “It’s a long ways away. And I’ve got to think long and hard. I’ve got to be mayor right up through and make sure there’s a transition. So what I really want to do, and how much I can do, how appropriate it is, I haven’t really thought about. But there’s plenty of time to do that. Right now I’m worried about Nov. 6.”

Mayoral contender Bill Thompson, who narrowly lost to Bloomberg in 2009, lamented the possibility of the Mayor’s money making an appearance in the 2013 race, saying, “We have probably one of the best systems of public finance in New York City, and I would hope he would allow…that level playing field to be the one the election’s decided on.”

He’s just like Putin. Even after he’s “out” he’ll still be running the show. Then he’ll come back in.

Herr Bloomberg, enjoy your retirement flying your private jets and helicopters to your multiple residences all over the world AND LEAVE NEW YORKERS ALONE TO MAKE THEIR OWN DECISION FOR YOUR REPLACEMENT!!!
