New York – In an appearance on Newsmax’s “The Steve Malzberg Show,” Malcolm Hoenline called newly-appointed Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel “Jackie Mason on steroids,” and says the threat from Hamas to Obama over his upcoming visit to Temple Mount is “outrageous.”

A Newsmax (http://bit.ly/14xZQPS) teaser from the show says, Hoenline, the head of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, claims he will be watching Hagel closely to see how proceeds with U.S. policies towards Israel going forward.
“So much of what he has said is disturbing,” Hoenline says, referring to Hagel’s 2008 statement that “the Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people” in Washington.
“We will judge by what he does now. He claims that it was a mistake and he didn’t intend what he said. He’s sort of a Jackie Mason on steroids when it comes to what he has said,” Hoenline adds.
“[On Tuesday], he met with the defense minister of Israel, made some very strong statements [and] has come out strongly on the Iran issue,” says Hoenline, “But the truth is…each of the presidents came into office saying they were going to make peace—until they sit down and they figure out and try it and find out that the other side walked away from it for no reason.”
On Hamas’ warning to President Obama over his scheduled journey to the Temple Mount later this month, Hoenline says, “The threat is outrageous. A person of any religion from anywhere ought to be able to visit. He doesn’t want a provocation. But this is an insult to the president, it’s an insult to the sacredness of this place.”
We always need to be vigilant. Sec’y of Defense has a lot of power. Mr. Hoenlin, we are depending on you
So much have been made of what Hagel said that:”the Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people in Washington.”
Are you all in denial?
Does anyone know of a politician who doesn’t feel threatened by AIPAC? they are the most powerful lobby in Washington. Whats not true about Hagels statement?
Let it be clear,Mr.Hoenline speaks for many people but does not speak for tens of thousands of Jews.
Mr.Hoenline, don’t tell the president of the US how he should lead.Don’t think for a minute they like you down in Washington they hate your guts and you are causing antisemitism by ripping into Hagel.
What an insolent and unkind remark to make about Jackie Mason, comparing a Rabbi’s son and a fervent ahavas Yisroel to Chuck Hagel. Should compare Chuck to Chuck, NY’s fly boy, and then we’ve got game.
Reply to 2, you wish you had his stamina and fortitude. Really misplaced comment!
Mr. Hoenlein suffers from logorrhea or diarrhea of mouth. To me his remark is irrelevant and of poor choice
While many such public threats are simply immature forms of yelling things that the media will report, perhaps we need to address them differently. I suggest that threats against officials of a government, whether heads of state or emissaries, should be tantamount to acts of war. And they should be punished severely, not ignored. No, don’t run to the UN like a baby and complain. Just respond with a few targeted actions to retaliate. Show who is boss. Hamas will threaten a US president, and then will put out their hand for humanitarian aid? Is there a brain with an IQ with a positive number that can tolerate this as consistent? I say, meet every threat with picking off a few of their “government” officials. Yes, and when they threaten Israel, give them a few funerals to attend.
Mr.Mason regardless of his genealogy had a foul mouth which emitted fecal verbal enouncement. Certainly not an intellectual lumen or relevant to Jewish life.
Anyone know what is the “Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations”?
” A person of any religion from anywhere ought to be able to visit. (Temple Mount)
Not really.
what the hell does that mean Jackie Mason on Steroids? more like David Duke of Adolph Hitler on steroids
