Tel Aviv – The eighth candle of the world’s largest menorah was lit on Wednesday.

Israel Hayom (http://bit.ly/1iDGtBi) reports that the menorah, created by Israeli Electric Corporation was visible throughout Tel Aviv. The largest candle reached 28 meters (92 feet) and the other candles reached 22 meters (72 feet).
The giant candles were propped on cranes and large trucks. The lights were also fitted with a variety of changing colors.
Energy and Water Resources Minister Silvan Shalom was present for the lighting.
