The JTA Forward (http://bit.ly/1kjS4kq) reports that Marktplaats.nl is selling the letters, which were written by prisoners from both Auschwitz and Dachau.

A seller with the handler “Bundum” has 29 items listed. One is a letter from Auschwitz, November 9, 1941. Another is listed as being sold in the original envelope with an Adolf Hitler stamp. Bundum also lists ads for Nazi toy soldiers for sale.

A Mathausen concentration camp identity card is being sold for $512 (375 euros).

Marktplaats states that the sellers are responsible for posting inoffensive items.

The Dutch Center of Information and Documentation Israel is looking into legal action against Marktplaats.
