Regnery Publishing said in a statement that the BJ’s Wholesale Club in Seekonk canceled Spicer’s book signing that was scheduled for Saturday to mark the release of “The Briefing,” which came out Tuesday.
WPRI-TV reports that Regnery says it learned about the cancellation last Friday and was disappointed and surprised.
A BJ’s spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Spicer, a Rhode Island native, is a veteran Republican operative who served as President Donald Trump’s press secretary during the tumultuous early months of his administration. Several other book signings in Rhode Island this month are still on.
He was a hilarious entertainer during his time evading questions for Trump.
So Trump’s daughter was forced to shut her business. Now (among others) this. One shudders to imagine what the Democrats would do (under a false guise of law of course!) should they get into power.
The democrats have no shame in ruining people’s lives just because you were associated with their nemesis. We have reached new lows unheard of in the past.
Sad
Spicey spent his days at the White House lying for Trump. And as Trump is a narcissistic SOB, Trump did not bring Spicey, a devout Catholic, to his audience with the Pope. Spicey is a lying sad sack, and cannot even get names, dates and places right in his book. No one wants to go and have him sign the book, which is published by a Christian publisher and not a real publisher. And the commenters on this site will defend Trump to the death because they think he supports Israel. However, yesterday he said he moved the embassy to Jerusalem for the Evangelicals. Next stop, the Rapture, and we will all be converted, according to VP Pence.
Pressure from democrats, no doubt, big fans of free speech, only for their side!
