JERUSALEM, Israel (VosIzNeias) — A terrorist attempted to stab a Jewish youth near Herod’s Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem on Monday afternoon. When the terrorist realized that he had not succeeded in wounding the youth, he attempted to escape. Border Police present at the scene shot and wounded the terrorist, who escaped into a nearby house where he was located and arrested by police who had been alerted to the attack.

The 16-year-old terrorist was taken to hospital for treatment and two other people suspected of helping the terrorist were detained. There were no other people injured in the attack, which occurred while Jared Kushner, President Trump’s senior advisor was visiting Jerusalem and meeting with Blue And White leader Benny Gantz.
