Serving Skiers and Visitors to Park City Utah

Kosher Bistro, in the heart of the Canyons Base area of Park City Mountain Resort, is a delightful, and yet affordable place for dinner and for Shabbat meals; it is the only Glatt Kosher restaurant located in a ski resort in North America. The Bistro’s menu is geared to families, and also includes kids’ friendly options.  You will not be bored – nor will you leave hungry. The steaks are perfectly done, the pastrami-burger fun, the citrus salmon delectable, and complemented by many other menu options, including fish, soups, salads and more.

Pricing is affordable, an excellent steak cost less than it does in NYC, more in line with prices in out of town communities.  This allows families wishing to travel without bringing Kosher food to dine out every night, and to order Shabbat meals too, without breaking their budgets. To enhance your experience you can now also submit your order online at www.parkcitykosher.com/

This year Kosher Bistro for the first time is under the management by Chabad of Park City, under the direct Rabbinical supervision of the much beloved Rabbi Yudi Steiger, long time Chabad Shaliach of Park City. Rav Yudi also runs daily and Shabbat minyanim at the adjacent Canyons Shul, and will gladly arrange special minyanim for late arrivals who need to say Kaddish. Rav Yudi can always be reached at (435) 714-8590. Daily Shachris starts 7:30AM and Mincha and Maariv 10 minutes before sunset.

Kosher Bistro and the Canyons Shul are both located steps away from the base of Red Pine Gondola, in Silverado Lodge. Nearby lodging opportunities are plentiful and range from the affordable to the exquisite. These include Silverado Lodge, Sundial Lodge, Grand Summit, the Hyatt, Hilton Vacations, the Westgate Resort, the Waldorf Astoria, and rentals in the many nearby condos such as Red Pine.  Thee properties provide contemporary mountain living with amenities at the heart of Canyons Village in Park City. From inviting fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, and oversized decks, these masterfully-designed properties feature guest accommodations, from cozy hotel rooms to spacious three-bedroom suites. While you don’t need to keep Kosher to love the Bistro, the Kosher Bistro fills a crucial vacancy, providing the Kosher traveler with outstanding dining and an escape from the usual hassle of bringing Kosher food or subsisting on ad-hoc options.   Rav Yudi, Vail Resorts, and Talisker deserve a very big thank you from all travelers, and particularly those who keep Kosher, for elevating the travel experience in yet another way.

“We’re pleased that the Bistro is open yet again, we have been skiing Park City for over a decade, we are grateful that the resort continues to maintain the only kosher offerings at a ski resort in North America,” said Dr. Steven Reich, who is from central New Jersey.   Dr. Reich notes that Park City is a 30 minute Uber ride from Salt Lake City International Airport, making Park City far more convenient and accessible than the Colorado resorts. “For us East Coasters, who wants to lose a day flying to a resort and then another day flying back, Park City allows us to take a 7:00AM flight and be on the slopes by 11:00AM and to fly out apres ski on an early evening flight the day we leave.  Colorado can’t compete with that, nor with Utah’s incredible fresh powder skiing.  Plus Park City resort covers some 11 mountains, and at 7,300 acres is the largest ski resort in North America, with skiing for everyone, from beginners to the most advanced expert.”

Kosher Bistro is located at 2669 Canyons Resort Dr. in Park City, Utah and is open Sunday through Thursday from 4:00PM to 9:00PM and Shabbat meals by pre-order.  For more information and to order online visit the Bistro’s website at www.parkcitykosher.com
