Zenta Rebbe, Rabbi Chanania Yom Tov Lipa Teitelbaum, Recovers From COVID-19

NEW YORK (VINnews) — The Zenta rebbe, Rabbi Chanania Yom Tov Lipa Teitelbaum, the brother of the Satmar rebbes, was released home after two and a half months in critical condition from coronavirus. On the Yarzheit of his father, the Beirech Moshe, the rebbe’s condition improved and he opened his eyes for the first time since he was hospitalized.

The rebbe was among the first people in the US to contract the virus and was in critical condition for many weeks with his life hanging in the balance. Thousands of Chasidim were praying daily for his recovery. Since he recovered consciousness he has been in rehabilitation except for a short period on Shavuos when he was in hospital for two days.

The public is urged to pray for the full recovery of Chanania Yom Tov Lipa Ben Pesil Leah.
