Drs. Anthony Fauci of the NIH, Robert Redfield of the CDC, and FDA head Stephen Hahn agreed under questioning before the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

“It’s simple,” said Redfield. “We are going to experience significant coronavirus infection in the fall and winter.”

Other respiratory viruses follow a usual pattern of resurgence during the cold weather months, when people are likelier to be indoors, making it easier to transmit infection.

HHS assistant secretary for health Brett Giroir concurred with the other officials, adding that he wants to have enough supplies stockpiled so the health care system can treat COVID-19 patients without having to shut down access for people needing care for other conditions.

This means we need to prepare to fight the forces and keep our schools open. Rabbosi that key is te battle this now not once its too late.

Absolutely no more school closings.

The risk to school openings are low. This includes the fact that those directly exposed are young. Yes obviously the exposed can expose others but its more indirect. Furthermore, some studies show that kids are not spreaders.

More importantly, schools are too crucial to shut down. Like groceries they must stay open. Kids are MORE at physical risk with schools closed and left unstructured. I see kids in my neighborhood, run in the streets and jump in large construction garbage dumpsters. Throw the phyiscal aspect in together with mental health and early childhood education . Scoiety must have schools. And frum jews have the ruchans too, We need to fight to stay open. Do not fall asleep at the wheel nor fal for false narratives of many like foolish vin comments

Every Developed country closed its schools. ISRAEL closed it the second time when school children spread the virus. JEWISH LIVES MATTER. Close the schools. Save Jewish Lives. EDUCATE your own children. You won’t have to complain later about ‘Unrealistic Chasenes”,”Shiduch Crisis” “OTD Boys” etc. Its our responsibility to EDUCATE our children not the 20 year old Seminary Girls. Most in BP,Wili etc are not working or sit in Kolel. They have all the time for the kids.

I don’t believe the doctors. The President himself said just two days ago that we’re seeing the “dying embers” of the virus. Who you gonna believe, medical experts or the guy who knows more about any subject than anyone else?

The Church burned Copernicus’ books. They jailed Galileo. Crazed Trump is doing the same to Dr. Fauci. 120,000+ ALREADY DEAD. How many more must die due to Trump?

My question is about the schools with dormitories. I cannot see that working. Older teachers and rebbeim, maintenance staff, kitchen staff, deliveries, kids going home for shabbos and returning. Then you have older bochurim who may be attending college at night.

Yeshiva university right now is not planning on opening the dorms till after succos last I heard.
