WASHINGTON (VINnews) — As guests left the Republican National Convention Thursday night, they were accosted and harassed by Black Lives Matter protesters. In one instance, two men were surrounded by a masked mob shouting: “Racists! racists!” while filming them on their phones.

Other prominent guests were heckled and cursed as they made their way from the convention to their hotels. Congressman Brian Mast (R-FL), a former combat veteran, was repeatedly asked the question: “How do you feel about police murdering black people in this country?” Despite stating that all murder is wrong, protesters continued to heckle Mast as he walked down the street.
Black policemen protecting the guests were also heckled, with some protesters calling them “traitors” and “Uncle Tom.”

Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, where Breonna Taylor was shot and killed by police in March, was also accosted and heckled by a mob of protesters. At one stage his wife took his hand and they began running to their hotel.

Rands’ wife Kelley later described her harrowing experience to the Washington Examiner:
“Thursday night felt like being in a terrifying dystopian novel. The mob swarmed me and my husband, Sen. Rand Paul, in a tight circle, screaming expletives, threats, and shouting, “Say her name.” We rushed up to two police officers, and I believe that is the only thing that kept us from being knocked to the ground. Even pressed against the officers, we were greatly outnumbered.
“As the mob grew and became more threatening, we literally could not move, and neither could the two officers for several minutes. The rioters were inches from us, screaming in our faces.
“That was the worst part. At first, I attempted to meet the eyes of one of the protesters and tried to explain that Rand authored the Justice for Breonna Taylor Act, but it seemed to just infuriate them more, as they called me a “bitch” and “racist wh—” alongside an endless torrent of “f— yous.”
Paul said that the video above is after more police arrived to protect the senator but at first “we were pinned in the center of a swirling maelstrom of hatred and threats.”
In another instance, protesters jumped on a bus carrying guests from the convention and tried to prevent it from progressing.

I reckon that the left loves the attention it is getting through violent protests; but I am afraid that this anarchy is destroying democracy.
Freedom of speech comes with a price, and that is respect the other person even if you disagree; and when you disagree, do it respectfully and responsibly.
I guess this is what Hillary Clinton meant when she said the Republicans lack civility. Oh, wait. These are democrats? Forget it.
There is no excuse for this behavior yet I haven’t heard the Dems denounce it…why not?
these stupid children are getting more and more brave with their large groups masks and cell phones.Do they not know or care just how angry their making people ,the restraint shown by the adults is just amazing Lets just hope one stops before the other reaches a point
