According to four law enforcement officials involved in the incident, 48-year-old Michael Forest Reinoehl was shot and killed Thursday night in Lacey, Washington by officers from a federal fugitive task force who were closing in to arrest him.
Portland police had issued a warrant for Reinoehl’s arrest earlier in the day, after Reinoehl indicated in an interview that he was guilty of the killing of Aaron J. Danielson, saying “I had no choice.”
Danielson, a Trump supporter, was killed in Portland on Saturday after clashing with protesters demonstrating against racial injustice and police brutality.
Reinoehl was a familiar figure at many of the recent violent protests in Portland. Throughout that time he had posted several pro-Antifa messages on social media, including that “there will be casualties” at the protests.
“I am 100% ANTIFA all the way!” he posted on Instagram in June. “I am willing to fight for my brothers and sisters! Even if some of them are too ignorant to realize what antifa truly stands for. We do not want violence but we will not run from it either!”
In Reinoehl’s interview on Thursday, he claimed to have acted in self-defense, saying “I could have sat there and watched them kill a friend of mine of color, but I wasn’t going to do that.”
Reinoehl was previously arrested at a protest on July 5, and was charged with resisting arrest and possession of a loaded firearm, but that case was ultimately dropped.

One less menace to society and one less Biden voter.
But nadler and other liberals exclaimed there are no dangerous antifia guys at BLM rallies . You guys laughed at Rudy
The picture seems a lot darker skinned than the video I saw of him in the interview.
And why is the article mis-characterizing the guys’s statement as “self-defense”? The quote given is:
> “I could have sat there and watched them kill a friend of mine of color, but I wasn’t going to do that.”
It says nothing about defending himself, and in reality, it says nothing about what any individual person was doing – it states a generic and vague “them”.
The blood of Aaaron Danielson has been avenged.
A time to celebrate.
May hashem grant the Federal task force a bunch hatzlacha and hope to hear many more such achievements.
Will the Mayor now call on these officers to be arrested for killing a black man?
The headline is confusing. It makes it seem as if this person shot somebody who had been killed by the police.
Who killed him?
Was the gun used by Reinoehl to murder Mr. Danielson purchased legally? Was it registered? Was there a background check done on Reinoehl? Why haven’t we heard anything from Cory Booker about gun reform?
