JERUSALEM (VINnews) — 19-year-old Chemi Trachtenberg is a United Hatzalah volunteer who seems to have a natural inclination to be involved in saving lives. As soon as the COVID-19 vaccinations arrived in Israel in December, Chemi volunteered to be one of those vaccinating the chareidi public and since then he has performed a remarkable 10,000 vaccinations despite being the youngest person involved in the vaccination campaign. The highlights for him were when he was called upon to vaccinate prominent rabbis at the clinic in Geula where he works. He added that the rabbis receive the vaccination in a special private room in order to maintain their dignity.

Trachtenberg says that he feels a sense of mission for the people of Israel and calls on all to vaccinate: “There are all kinds of rumors and fabricated stories about the vaccinations. I have vaccinated thousands of people, every day between 200 to 300 and everything is fine with them, even if there are some side effects they are exactly the same as any other vaccinations. We are vaccinating in a swift and organized manner, its great to see how everyone is coming to vaccinate.”
Trachtenberg is due to leave his position in two months time and enlist in the chareidi Chetz parachutist division of the IDF.
