MK Rothman Slams EU For Funding Construction Of Convicted Terrorist’s Home On Israeli Territory

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — During the last few weeks the EU has been assisting in the construction of a house for murderous terrorist Rizaq Abu Salah, who murdered Israeli soldier Guy Friedman in 1990. Salah was released in the Shalit agreement in 2011 and two years ago began to build an illegal house on agricultural land near Givat Hahish in Gush Etzion south of Jerusalem.

After local residents complained to the Civil Authority, the authority promised to enforce the law but did not yet do so.

MK Simcha Rothman (Religious Zionism) and the Im Tirzu organization appealed to the head of the EU delegation in Israel, Mr. Emanuel Jofra, to cease its funding and assistance to the terrorist.

The two wrote that “this is an immoral act which no country in Europe would accept on its territory. In the name of elementary morals and with due respect to Israel as responsible for this territory according to international agreements, we demand an immediate cessation of funding assistance and support which you are giving to a murderous terrorist and publicly eschew and condemn the murderous actions of Abu Salah.

Rothman added that “the double standard of the EU towards Israel has broken new records in absurdity. The dastardly terrorist murdered a soldier and in return receives funding from the EU under the guise of “preserving the hope in life.” It’s time the EU woke up and understood that it is giving hope not of life but rather of more terrorists perpetrating acts of terror against innocent citizens.”
